Our 1 MW solar installation is designed to meet close to 60% of the plant's power consumption from clean, on-site generation, reducing our dependence on grid electricity and lowering the embedded carbon in every tower we manufacture.
The EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism currently covers raw and semi-finished steel, with an extension to finished steel structures under discussion for 2028. We are building our embedded-carbon measurement, calculated per ton using recognised sector methodology, ahead of the requirement rather than in response to it.
